I-Café Pilipinas represented by its Chairman Edgardo C. Zafra and PRO Arthur Gimena met with the new Chairman of Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), Atty. Ivan John Uy. New Chairman Of CICT Named

Almost exactly a month of the new administration and with much speculations in recent days regarding the fate of the government’s Commission on Information and Communications Technology (CICT), a new Chairman is named in the person of Ivan Uy, a lawyer and former Chief Information Officer (CIO) of the Supreme Court. Microsoft i-Cafe Program's Second Wave

Microsoft Philippines continues its program offering affordable Windows 7 operating system and Office 2010 productivity software to i-café owners whose shops still use pirated software. The promo, now on its second wave, allows qualified i-cafés to avail of Windows 7 Professional Edition for only PhP3,299.00 per license while MS Office 2010 license can be bought for PhP1,999.00 each. Google Searches By Filipino Students

The 2010 Yahoo-Nielsen Net Index showed that seventy-six (76%) of Filipinos going online do “Search”. The same survey showed that majority of those who uses the search engines to find what they need are students based on the ages of respondents. With the evolution of Internet search, students now have access to unlimited information and practically on any subject that can be normally found only in reference books before.
